Thought for the Week …

Well – I think that is very true especially after I found this photo of myself (I’m the tall one) taken with Andrew, Jane & Richard (left to right).   What do you think???  BIG GRINS here of course.   I think it was taken in the summer holidays at Windy (1973 perhaps 1974?).  Let me know cousins if you know when it was taken.

The other photos I have uncovered are more obvious.  The small one of Auntie Jean has 1948 written on the back and the larger black and white photo is at my christening.

If you don’t recognize people they are (left to right) – Pat, Grandma, Aunty Margaret, my Mum, Nana Clark, Auntie Jean (sitting) with me on her knee and I think the little girl is cousin Kathryn or Helen?  Not sure again – please tell me if you know.

Well – we’ve had a good week – hope you all have.  Working hard on our new business directory and managed to take a few walks in between the snow storms.  Today was lovely – the sun shone and the birds were singing so we took the opportunity to take a lovely walk around the park.

It’s late now – time to sign off.

Lots of love n stuff

  1. Jane Said,

    Hi,
Love the pic. Not too sure what Andrew is holding – looks very suspicious to me!

You are right about the christening photo – it is Kathryn.

Busy weekend packing for a school residential on Monday. Away for the week – will let you know how I get on, if I survive the canoeing, climbing, absailing, zip wire etc,not to mention a ten mile walk on Thursday.!

    Luv to you both,
    Jane xx

  2. Julie Said,

    Hi Jane

Thanks for that. I’m going to enlarge the pic to solve the mystery!!!

Enjoy your activities next week – I’m sure we will all want to hear all about it – with silly photos of course (for all the world to see – BIG GRINS)

Loads of love back to you all

    Ju & Brent xoxoxo

  3. Andrew Said,

Thanks for the embarrassing pictures. I’d like to think that we were trend setters!!!! They reckon everything comes back into fashion, well I seriously hope those hair cuts don’t.

I nor anyone else has any idea what I’m holding? It looks like a cucumber but why would I be holding a cucumber whilst having my photo taken?? It’s got to be something else.

  4. Julie Said,

    Thanks for that Andrew.

I’ve enlarged the photo as much as possible and I now know what you are holding. My dad brought me back a game from Hamley’s one year – it was two clear coloured plastic tubes (one red , one greeney blue) with white balls inside. The idea was to have a race to shake and move them so the balls would fall through a series of holes from one end to the other. VERY noisy and very funny. MYSTERY SOLVED!!

  5. Goldspink's reunion Feb 09 Said,

Thanks for that, it’s a relieve knowing it wasn’t a cucumber!!!! I was a “normal” child after all. No-one needs to comment on this. lol

    Take care, love Andrew x
