The Sun is Shining!

Posted under Happiness

How wonderful!

At last we can make the most of our lovley back yard. The sun is shining, the flowers are in full bloom, it’s blowing a warm wind and we think we’re in Lanzarote.  The yard has been painted, the gate is bright blue and new looking again and the whole place has a med feel to it.

Yesterday was our ‘day off’ and we really made the most of it.  Apricot pastries with our freshly brewed morning coffee, Salami and Cheese freshly baked baguettes for lunch with Spanish Olives and a delicious bottle of red wine.  Chinese snacks for the afternoon and a tasty supper.  Life is good.

Well – today it’s back to work and we have a few jobs to finish off before checking in with Simon Baker – the mentalist. OOOooooooooooooooooo

Visiting Mum & Other Family

Posted under Fun Stuff, Happiness, Travelling

Gosh – I’ve done it again!! Another month has gone by and I haven’t got around to doing any blogging.  It  seems that yet  again my life is so full and we are so busy that I just haven’t time to tell people about it (except on the personal emails of course) So … all my emaily mates will know all about the 80  teddy bears that now inhabit our front lounge awaiting to have their photographs taken.  They are all suitably attired according to professions and most have their bits and pieces (that is to say the Doctors have their bags and stethescopes, Robin Hood has his Quiver and Horn and of course the Juggler has his brightly coloured balls!!!) BIG GRINS

I’m hoping that someone will want to take them in so will be working on the advert this weekend.

I have had a journey up North to see my mum again.  As most of you know she hasn’t been well on and off but was OK when I was up there. I forgot my camera so I’m posting another piccie of us both taken in Anaheim Disneyland Los Angeles – ‘the Happiest Place on Earth’ – and it was for us. We loved it!! We’ve not changed much – I still have the same haircut and I suspect those blue pants are in the back of my wardrobe somewhere. Not really sure if they will fit – although I have lost nearly a stone in weight since christmas so they may just …..

Got to know some of Brent’s lovely folks as well whilst up at Mums.  Aunty Harriet’s son Roy and his wife Judith. A Super Lovely time was had (thanks R&J if you’re looking in) – yummy lunch – reminising about places visited in the USA – especially Arizona, Grand Canyon, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon followed by a shopping trip.  I felt prompted to buy some postcards from ebay reminding me of those lovely happy travels in America.

So … That covers about 4 days of the last month – I think if I were to type about everything we would be looking at publishing the biggest blog ever …

Now I need to sign off …. YEP … you got it ….. things to do ………

I’d sy Chat Soon – but I probably won’t

Merry Christmas Everyone

Posted under Fun Stuff, Happiness

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.  As usual we have tried to get a photo of us both to post with the message – which has been a bit difficult this year for some reason (probably not had enough Cab Sav yet!

Anyroad – followingare our attempts – one is OK but lacking the background Christmas Tree that was so lovelingly put up.  Another is where it took so long for the flash batteries to recharge Brent fell asleep (maybe THAT WAS too much Cab Sav???)

Finally Brent took one just of me grinning like a mad woman which you can see here (definately too much Cab Sav) – but at least we’ve got the lovely tree in the photo AND the fabulous christmas card that Brent sent me.  ARrrhhhhh how romantic – reminds me of Strictly Come Dancing and all those absolutely fabulous frocks darlings!!!

Well … back to topic … Thanks to ALL for lovely cards received in the ‘real world’ and very very much appreciated.  WE LOVE CHRISTMAS!

See you soon

30 Christmas Holidays …. How brill is that!

Posted under Happiness

Gosh – it’s hard to believe it but Brent and I have had 30 Christmas holidays together this year!

Whoweee – and as soppy as it sounds we remember and cherish every one.  It’s a really special time for us – I’m sure we slip into some kind of timewarp – Jimjams, choccies, cups of tea and of course Scooby Doo back to back. EEeeeeeeeeeeee

This week we will put the tree up, write cards, buy and wrap presents and write the Festive shopping list.  A fully stocked wine rack,  full freezer and loads of plans … to do …. absolutely NOTHING!

How lucky we have been – sorry for the sentiment but after all IT IS CHRISTMAS

Seasons greetings – love n stuff

New Cambiar Consultancy Calling Cards ….

Posted under Happiness, Motivation

….. have been shipped !! YEAHCambiar Consultancy

I just got word they are on their way.  The start of my new drive to get it going in full flow again.  Thanks to all my friends and loved ones who have continued to give me encouragement and support through the last few weeks – ‘Practice What You Preach JULIE’ was the overall cry.  It’s good to know I have not lost belief in myself and my abilities.

Here’s a sneak preview of my new cards.  www.cambiar.co.uk is due for a major overhaul soon as well – whilst Brent is building apaches (that’s server talk – not plastic American Indian models) I will be busy developing the new programmes we have purchased for online courses, online training, building online communities and quick networking opportunities.

The future is BRIGHT

Much love n stuff

Thanks for dropping by – comments welcome as usual

Poofie Paradise …

Posted under Fun Stuff, Happiness

Hi everyone

I grew up in households that had ‘poofies’ – all sorts of wonderful kinds of tapestry or brocade ’footstools’, wood with straw weave tops, leather rounds collected from exotic places we travelled to, stuffed to the limit with newspapers and of course the very posh versions – all leather, hollow in the middle for storage and with castors.  Granted it was the 1970s when they were all the rage but Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how I Poofiehave longed for something similar in my own household for such a long time.  WELL – they say ask and the Universe will deliver – or in this case a very good antiques auctioneer in Leyland and an extremely thoughtful and caring husband.

Yeah – I now am the owner and user of a beautiful top quality full leather (green) poofie that the top lifts off to reveal a very respectful sized compartment for the storage of goodies – in my case it will be my latest read, Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill, my sketch book and an embroidery project. ARhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh bliss – must be time to put my feet up with a lovely glass of Rioja …. perhaps a wine table would be useful now ….

Big grins – lots of love n stuff

~The end of an ear – ooppps I mean ERA~

Posted under Happiness, Motivation

A PileHello everyone

Sorry about the long silence but we’ve been just so sooooooo busy – it’s mad!!

It’s time to move on now very quickly as my business is growing and growing (great news eh?).  I seem to have left academia and training behind me for now and am moving rapidly back into one of my major areas of strength – entreprenuership.  To all who know me – you know that means buying and selling stuff.  Just like the good old days.

The last few weeks have been great – we never stop – out and about all the time meeting new people and constantly feeling stimulated and motivated.  The side effects are: house is getting a major sort out – that’s the photo – all my old textbooks are being advertized (many have sold already as I type) AND we are even more pleased to report an increase in health and fitness levels.

Our cats seem a bit confused at times about all the boxes that get packed and unpacked.  I had to sort out the blanket box the other day which included Xena’s favourite chenile blanket.  I think she thought we might be selling it so she quickly staked her claim.  So sweet ….Princess

Well …. having said that I now need to sign off … my ‘inbox’ of questions is peeping at me again … eeeeeeeeeeeeee BIG GRINS.

Monthly update …

Posted under Blogroll, Fun Stuff, Happiness, Motivation, Spirituality, Travelling

… well it looks like I’m a once a month blogger doesn’t it?Success

Hello everyone – thanks for tuning in.

Like I said it seems as if it is my habit to write a little something once a month judging by my previous posts.  It isn’t like anything never happens in my life … just I always seem to be doing ’something else’ whenever it crosses my mind to have a blog.

So … what’s happened this last month.  Well – as you can probably guess from the photo I entered the Race for Life in aid of cancer research AND I completed the course in good time.  I fully expected it to take me well over an hour – if not an hour and a half but I managed to get round in just over 50 minutes.  WHOWEEEE – that’s quite a surprise for me because I’m not the fittest of people AND I’ve never ever done anything like it before in my life…  IT WAS GREAT!!!

One of my bestest mates Gill came with me as support and to also have a go – see other photo – we enjoyed it so much we’re going to have a go next year again all being well.

I’ve also had a birthday!!  A lovely time – Brent cooked me a slap up birthday breakfast, there were presents, phone calls, visits and meals out – BBQ Ribs & Chicken at the Queensway in Lytham – Loverrlllly – just what I like.

So .. that’s it for significant events that I would like to chat about – well – those that I can think of at the moment anyway.  Anything else that comes to mind I’ll let you know.

Signing off with love n stuff
