Well hello everyone! I feel very guilty about my absence. It’s simply ages since I’ve bothered to do any bloggin. The twittering idea didn’t work out - couldn’t be bothered if truth be told and all the incoming stuff was trying to sell me something basically - except the Dali Lama of course - now there’s a great guy with some food for thought.
Anyhow - I thought it was time to sit down at the PC with a lovely cuppa tea and give a quick round up of events for anyone looking in.
I’ve found some photos which I forgot to post from last summer - SUMMER!! I hear people cry - what’s that then??? Yes - the photos prove it - it was sunny and warm at some time last
summer. We had a trip to the caravan to visit Marie & Stan and went out for a lovely meal at the Queensway Harvester Pub Restaurant. It
must have been sometime after my birthday (which as in May) because I’m using a fabulous hippy style bag that my mum gave me as a gift.
Christmas Break ……
Then of course there was Christmas - tree, decorations, gifts, wine, food,

chocolates …. more wine - you can see Stan peeping into the room after a couple of bevvies looking very nosey …. eeeeeeeeeee … ello Stanley!!
Now of course it’s the end of February and no sign of the cold wet windy sleety weather letting up. I’m a bit cheesed off with it all to put it mildly - however - the inability to get out and do anything interesting means we’ve cleared a lot of stuff via eBay and can now see the floor in the alcove - yeahhhhhhhhhh.
So folks …. that was sort of a catch up … nothing too thrilling or shocking I’m afraid but thanks for tuning in.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. As usual we have tried to get a photo of us both to post with the message - which has been a bit difficult this year for some reason (probably not had enough Cab Sav yet!
Anyroad - followingare our attempts - one is OK but lacking the background Christmas Tree that was so lovelingly put up. Another is where it took so long for the flash batteries to recharge Brent fell asleep (maybe THAT WAS too much Cab Sav???)
Finally Brent took one just of me grinning like a mad woman which you can see here (definately too much Cab Sav) - but at least we’ve got the lovely tree in the photo AND the fabulous christmas card that Brent sent me. ARrrhhhhh how romantic - reminds me of Strictly Come Dancing and all those absolutely fabulous frocks darlings!!!
Well … back to topic … Thanks to ALL for lovely cards received in the ‘real world’ and very very much appreciated. WE LOVE CHRISTMAS!
See you soon

Travelling
Hi everyone
Just a quick line to share our news and photos taken on the top of Crown Point Burnley last week. We decided to get all togged up and take a walk over the tops - whoweeee was it a blowey one. Made it to the Singing Ringing Tree - a Panoptican
I must admit we were a little disappointed - not because it was a misty drizzly day and the view was obscured (we can always go back on a clearer day) but we were led to belive that it played a tune. We like to walk on Blackpool front and listen to the tall pipes playing a ‘tune’ in the wind - but this one sort of gave a low hum occasionally. Like I said - a little disappointed.
Maybe the wind wasn’t the ‘right sort’ of wind - we will give it another go though - and take a flask of hot chocolate next time - we were frooozzen.

Fun Stuff,
Happiness Hi everyone
I grew up in households that had ‘poofies’ - all sorts of wonderful kinds of tapestry or brocade ’footstools’, wood with straw weave tops, leather rounds collected from exotic places we travelled to, stuffed to the limit with newspapers and of course the very posh versions - all leather, hollow in the middle for storage and with castors. Granted it was the 1970s when they were all the rage but Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee how I
have longed for something similar in my own household for such a long time. WELL - they say ask and the Universe will deliver - or in this case a very good antiques auctioneer in Leyland and an extremely thoughtful and caring husband.
Yeah - I now am the owner and user of a beautiful top quality full leather (green) poofie that the top lifts off to reveal a very respectful sized compartment for the storage of goodies - in my case it will be my latest read, Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill, my sketch book and an embroidery project. ARhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh bliss - must be time to put my feet up with a lovely glass of Rioja …. perhaps a wine table would be useful now ….
Big grins - lots of love n stuff

… you’re in my zone! …. you’re in my zone!! was the general cry from a friend of mine after recently spending some time out with a guy new to her circle. I KNOW WHAT SHE MEANS!!! Have you ever had a guy who WILL insist on walking as if they are attached to your upper arm or shoulder blade?? HOW ANNOYING!! Especially when they are not your ’significant other’. I’m not sure what school of interpersonal skills or ‘come on signs’ they attended but they seriously need to look at the curriculum.
Gosh - that was a rant wasn’t it … many apols - but when my friend starting telling me about her experience it pushed a few buttons.
It started me thinking about Zones in general and I have noticed that this last few weeks we (meaning me and Brent) have been ‘in the zone’ … totally focused, working hard and not stressing … in fact work has been great fun. I’ve been corresponding with people all over the world about our products and sending out parcels most days. Getting up has been something to look forward to … Weird???
Anyhow - watching balloons made me think about Zones as well and about changes in perspectives. See the balloon in the first photo on the ground - ti’s enormous … see it 10 minutes later and tis tiny … that’s what life is like me thinks. Things that seem mega important at one time in life after a while no longer are overwhelmingly important - in fact it is difficult to remember what all the fuss was about …
Well … after that ramble I shall sign off and go do something non important - or I may write to a lovely guy and his wife stationed with the army abroad who have just purchased a book from me on tinternet - now that would be time well spent me thinks !

Blogroll … well it looks like I’m a once a month blogger doesn’t it?
Hello everyone - thanks for tuning in.
Like I said it seems as if it is my habit to write a little something once a month judging by my previous posts. It isn’t like anything never happens in my life … just I always seem to be doing ’something else’ whenever it crosses my mind to have a blog.
So … what’s happened this last month. Well - as you can probably guess from the photo I entered the Race for Life in aid of cancer research AND I completed the course in good time. I fully expected it to take me well over an hour - if not an hour and a half but I managed to get round in just over 50 minutes. WHOWEEEE - that’s quite a surprise for me because I’m not the fittest of people AND I’ve never ever done anything like it before in my life… IT WAS GREAT!!!
One of my bestest mates Gill came with me as support and to also have a go - see other photo - we enjoyed it so much we’re going to have a go next year again all being well.
I’ve also had a birthday!! A lovely time - Brent cooked me a slap up birthday breakfast, there were presents, phone calls, visits and meals out - BBQ Ribs & Chicken at the Queensway in Lytham - Loverrlllly - just what I like.
So .. that’s it for significant events that I would like to chat about - well - those that I can think of at the moment anyway. Anything else that comes to mind I’ll let you know.
Signing off with love n stuff

…. was had by all. We’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to put pen to paper or should it be fingertips to keyboard??
Along with working hard on a new website (soon to be revealed) we’ve had a smashing jaunt to the coast - always one of my favourite occupations - as you already know. The weather was great on Thursday and the sky was a maginificent shade of blue. I’ve captured a little bit of it’s richness I think in my photo of the RNLI Memorial at St Annes. The memorial is for the 27 lifeboat volunteers from St Annes and Southport who died on 9 and 10 December 1886 attempting to rescue the crew of the German barque Mexico, which ran aground off Southport in a gale. If you would like to know more you can read all about it on the RNLI website
The wind was blowing a gale and the tide was in - this isn’t something we see that often. It must be a bit unusual and catch people off guard because I remember some children getting stuck (cut off from the
land) under the pier at one time and having to climb up the structure underneath. If memory serves me right my cousin Ian Clark who ran the pier at that time needed to pull up some decking and help them up (or something like that??) Perhaps other family members can fill in the blanks for me?
I digress … well - the wind of course prompted us to buy a new kite (see photo). My very own kite … TAKE NOTE Jacky & Col … not as good as yours but a good starter kite all the same.
Today we’ve spent at the car boot - you guessed it - a full boot of goodies bought at very low prices. THE find for the month has got to be a Quireboys video ‘Bitter Sweet and Live’ - their first live video filmed at the Town & Country Club in October 1992. Watching and listening now and enjoying every gravelly note - well done Spike Gray - I really like the Pirate Look.
So - on that note and a few other riffs I’ll sign off. This has been a very long entry but who knows when I’ll get chance to make another … even busier week next week planned.
