Xena – NOT a Happy Cat!

Posted under Blogroll, Happiness

If a pussycat could huff, puff, sigh and ‘tut’ then I think Xena would have won a medal for that last night. Not a happy cat I keep prattling on and on about how difficult it is to get a good photo of her – so – last night we decided to give it a go.

We each had a camera to hand – waiting for the opportune moment and ‘Voila’ – we managed to get several. Unfortunately most of them seemed to be shots of her lying on the rug looking very ‘dead’ – not a good idea to post those – who knows what people might think!

AT LAST I managed to get two photos I could use – taken on the sofa at the end of the evening when she came to ask for her biscuit supper.

As you can see – the first shot she is NOT happy about the fact that a camera is pointing her way.  However, after a quiet word of encouragement from me she faced the camera full on.

What do you think What is she thinkingshe is thinking??  I am reluctant to put into words what message I think she is trying to communicate.

Please feel free to post your caption ideas – I think it would be very entertaining.

A Happy Man!

Posted under Happiness

A very happy man! This photo was sent to me last night by a very good friend of mine – who has known me for over 45 years now. I think anyone looking will admit it’s wonderful!!

The writing says:  “Sunday July 13 just been to car boot sale – weather hot sunshine – having coffee in front garden and let the rest of the world go by.”

Happiness Personified

Thanks D

lots of love – Ju xoxo

You Love Me ‘Cos I’m Gorgeous

Posted under Happiness

What a cracking line eh? Who could resist this lovely china cup n saucer (bought on the trip to Boundary Mill) with a wonderfulHappiness picture of a pussycat just like Hercules – 2 sources of happiness in one purchase – followed by repeated contentment every time I make myself (or someone makes one for me) a lovely cuppa tea.  The words on the other side speak of a cat’s happiness in a stretch and a morning rub on the concrete floor – arrrrhhhhhhhh.

It’s funny when I come to think about it – things that make me happy that is!!!  I’ve started keeping a gratitude journal as advised by Rhonda Britten in Fearless Living. It REALLY is the ’small’ things in life that bring the smile to my face and give me a peaceful night’s sleep.  I’m sure I am not on my own in this (I would love to hear from you on this one).  A few of the things that make me happy are watching my cats sleep/play/eat, looking out of my kitchen window and seeing the flowers my husband planted for me in full bloom, getting an email from a friend that just says ‘hello’ or ‘it was nice to see you today’, a lovely cup of tea or a new magazine.   I could go on and on …. and on …. and on …. but I’m sure you have better things to do than read about my ’small stuff’.

Thanks for listening

Displacement Activity – Find Your Fairy Name

Posted under Happiness

Hi all

Well – a good start to the day’s work today – BIG GRIN in progress – I’ve just got totally distracted by looking at a site (can’t recall the name now but could probably find it again if anyone wants it) which after filling in a form gave me my Fairy Name - funny!

It said my fairy is called Tangle Saturnshimmer and she is a trouble maker that lives at the bottom of tangled gardens and in hedgerows.
Not sure if that sounds like me – let me know

Chat soon – must get on with my jobs now

Love n stuff
